Luna cannot sleep at night
Too scared to open her eyes
She counts imaginary stars
And as she’s sliding down the milky way
Her shaking lips form a silent prayer

‘Bad men come and go’, she says
‘Tomorrow will be another day’

The smell of apple pie
To keep her monsters away
